Its a lot like Dead Island was. It still classifies itself as horror though. A lot like the BS that was the last few Resident Evil games. All of the good psychological horror has been lost and that's what we really need back in the gaming world. I still remember when the zombie dog jumped through the window in the first Resident Evil and I almost pooped myself. And Friday the 13th on NES, holy crap, that was legit scary. Lol.

Yeh checked it out. Pretty damn awesome imo!

Pretty hard game tho.

Kudos to those who did beat it - mighty pair of balls on any who stayed in that game for hours on end figuring out the cues. |

Others said saying her name made her appear, but if you beat it without a mike its probably not even a factor but a somewhat randomized engine, since she seems to appear, well, randomly? Too bad, I actually thought it'd be pretty awesome if you could only beat a game by actually talking to the ghost. |
I haven't played it. But when the tease was revealed people were saying that it was completely random. I don't know if they updated anything.

I think the consensus is, you have to go through certain steps - but it sounds like other than those, it's randomized, which obviously increased the scare factor replay value, as you never know when or if something might happen.
Well done team Toro/Kojima. Certainly got a few ear-pitching screams out of me. |
