Haven't seen that one! It always looked kinda' dumb to me, and it looked so new and unlike Hitchcock. Is it so bad that it's not worth a free viewing on TV?
No, sadly it is not, those two hours of your life would be better spent watching something good, even if not Hitchcock.

Tippi Hedren.

She ranks very low on most Hitch ice queen polls at other film forums. Two factors: She was not an established(or even struggling) actress, but a model. Which kind of gives some the impression she had no talent. Number 2: She rejected the sexual advances of Sir H(who fantasized about having an affair with her), which many other Hwood starlets would have jumped at for a part in one of his films.

As far as my personal opinion, I thought she was quite good, and would put her in the top 10. She did follow some really tough acts- Grace Kelly, Eva Marie Saint, Ingrid Bergman, Janet Leigh and even Doris Day, but I think she held her own with those ladies.

And some of his silent era actresses were pretty abyssmal. So Hedren was far from the worst.
