I'm re-reading the full series 1 run of Ghost Rider.

Being a very old broad, I am reading and collecting Golden Age comics.

The series I am collecting is Blackhawk. I think that it is still around but the ones I am reading and collection come from the series beginning on Military in 1940 through the era of Quality Comics ending in 1957 and also some of the first ones in the DC Comics line.

The 7 Blackhawk freedom fighters fought Nazi's, Communist, mad dictators from all over the world as well as mad scientists and even threats from outer space.

I just love these comics.

There is actually a small element of those Blackhawk comics that survived.
A character called "Lady Blackhawk" was introduced to DC comics in the 90's (or earlier) and has served alongside a few of the superhero teams.
She's not superpowered though, she's a pilot and an adventurer, bit of a mercenary.

She's appeared in some pretty new DC comics as well.
Also the team "Blackhawks" was another fairly recent title.

Same symbol and all.
Though I suppose it's not really going to be the same vibe as the originals.

The number 1 to 107 were the best issues. The first 15 or 20 of the DC's were good but after that not the same as the original.

Isn't that usually the case.

Anyone read the John Carpenter horror graphic novel? I just found out about it last week. I'm going to hold off on it till next year.

Almost done with reorganizing the office and found a ton of EC Comics that I'm catching up on. They are absolutely great with peerless art, wild morality play stories (Some seriously demented plots here) and such a sense of fun. Really enjoying the CRIMESUSPENSE STORIES, but all of the titles good and much better than the TV series.

I'm very confused because in the end of the comic before this John got arrested, yet the beginning of this one starts with ManWolf on a train?! Did I miss something?!
