New Horror.com Design This Week
 

Hello Horror Lovers-

Just a quick update to let you know that we are going to be rolling out some of the promised design changes to Horror.com this week. Sorry in advance if the upgrade process causes a few minutes of downtime or any temporary bugs.

The good news for the forum is that we will be upgrading to the latest version of vBulletin, which has more cool features and should be faster and more fun.

If you do notice any problems while we're working on the changes, please post them here in this thread and I'll work on fixing them as quickly as possible.

I think it's funny that this horror character is that...slack? that even mods have a difficult time contacting them, but will come in just to announce this, this more than likely annoying event.

The logging out page right now is a neat and nifty little touch. Rayne will be very pleased with the color choices.

pretty curious to see how it turns out. To me the existing design is fine, liked it a lot...quite simple and have a kinda vintage touch.

I like the simplicty of the current one but a change might be good. If it works it works, and if not it doesn't.

Does that upgrade include more smileys, hmm? :rolleyes: :)

I like the new design. Fits the site slightly better. I was sceptical but now I'm looking forward to it. Any update on when we can expect the change?

The forum upgrade was completed earlier tonight. Thanks, horror.

But the spammers are back. I think the NoSpam! verification system which was added to the New Member Registration process has either been lost in the upgrade, or has gotten disabled.

We need it back, Horror, or the spammers will run over the forums again.

I'm seeing a lot of broken/missing images when I look at profiles.

HOW WILL I BE ABLE TO STALK PEOPLE IF IMAGES ARE BROKEN?! :p

Seriously, though... Is it my computer/browser/IE? Or is there an issue on HDC's end?

Try Firefox. No red Xs in that one.
IE has some script/character line errors.

Gotcha - I've always found that HDC works better with Firefox anyway; this computer just doesn't have it installed. Thanks, V! :)

I downloaded Firefox. All images are displayed. Now I'm going to click around and see if I can break anything. :cool:

Definitely.
Mine is set to Friends Only. Did it right after the upgrade.

btw, thanks for addressing the spam problem and upgrading the NoSpam! verification system in a jiffy, horror.
The spambots have been stopped. I nabbed the ones which had snuck in in the meantime. :)
