need help figuring out a film
 
As a kid I saw this film that scared the shit out of me, but I don't remember what it was, and it's been bugging the hell out of me for weeks.

The only thing I really remember is this...a group of people/scientist(maybe) have some sort of white furry monster locked up. Body parts litter the creatures holding cell. Eventually is escapes.

Vague I know...but I was young...if anyone has any ideas...I'm dying to know.

Like I said, I was a kid. Year...mid to late 80's. And if I knew the title I wouldn't be needing helping finding out what film this is, lol.
