Courage the Cowardly Dog

Anyone else remember this cartoon? It was one of my favorite shows during my childhood and I own all four seasons on DVD.

It was funny but also kind of spooky at times. In a way the show reminded me of Scooby Doo except that the monsters were all real and it was about a cowardly dog protecting his owners and not a cowardly dog solving mysteries with a bunch of teenagers.

One of my favorite episodes was "Heads of Beef" where this talking pig couple was running a hamburger restaurant and it was implied that they were killing their customers and turning them into hamburgers. Delicious! ::devil::

Yes, I used to watch it after school.

...stupid dog!

I was dating this girl a few years ago and one night we drank San Pedro (mescaline) tea and watched every episode on Netflix and I never laughed so much in my entire life.

Yeah it was a great show. Very funny yet slightly scary for a kid's show. ::big grin::

And I loved how Eustace often got killed in most of the episodes. He pretty much brought it on himself for being such a grouchy asshole.

Sorry, I just now realized you replied to this haha. But yeah he was an asshole but he was like Kenny from South Park. He could keep dying but kept coming back. I'm sure some people might get freaked the hell out watching something like that on psychedelics that was the first time I had ever watched any of those episodes except or maybe one or two episodes so it was all new to me. I wish they would make more.

I'm actually kind of glad that the show ended after only four seasons. They were great seasons and every episode was fantastic. It would have really sucked if Cartoon Network did what they did to Dexter's Laboratory and changed the animation style with really crappy new episodes. I feel like too many great TV shows stay on air longer than they should which causes them to become crappy shows in their later seasons. But Courage the Cowardly Dog got to be short and sweet! ::wink::

Do you like Rick and Morty?

Not really. I'm not into the newer cartoons.

I love Courage the Cowardly Dog!

That was a great show! And I swear there was an episode of, Lost, that referenced it without even saying a word. That was cool! Or...you know...I was just imagining that. Pretty sure it happened, though.
