favorite mummy movie? or reccomendations

i must say mine is curse of the mummys tomb at the moment from hammer, but i am a fan of just about all of them even the the mummy remake with brendan fraser (wow aging hasnt done much for him),

big fan of the original universal one, the mummys hand, abbot costello one, the mummy by hammer was cool, i like just about everything hammer has done.

Just my personal opinion... I think the story of the Mummy is rich, but all the films have been poor.

My "fav" is probably the original with Karloff. It's dark and dozing on quaaludes, but it is interesting.

The other one is the Brandan Fraser Mummy. It's alright. I didn't think it was realistic enough, which just makes me not care what's happening... but it was a bit lively.

Not sure if I ever saw the Hammer original.

Got to agree with You about the Karloff one...does move slow.
Haven't seen the 1959 one in ages, but remember Chris Lee moved pretty quick

The Kharis films are all pretty goofy...Lon Chaney Jr hated doing them and You can see it in his performances. THE MUMMY'S GHOST is probably the best, thanks to John Carradine. THE MUMMY'S CURSE is OK and THE MUMMY'S TOMB is the worst.
Tom Tyler plays the bandaged one in THE MUMMY'S HAND, the first Kharis film. TMH is the best of them in my opinion anyway. Good sense of fun and TT is a pretty scary one.
