Bob Gray 01-12-2012 03:32 PM

Mastodon with Baroness, Valiant Thorr, and Between the Buried and Me. What a kick ass show, first time I had heard Baroness and fell in love immediately.

Saw them at Voodoo Fest in Memphis a few years back. Never seen anyone play an electric washboard, lol. Great band.

Good taste newb, I haven't heard Moe though.

Fearonsarms 03-18-2012 03:28 AM

Saw Wild Beats last night in the 02 Academy here in Liverpool. Though they are undenaibly a mellow band-live they had a lot more bite and the music came across fiercer than on the albums. Very enjoyable and great atmosphere from a genuine fan audience.

Aim4TheHead 04-08-2012 05:18 PM

I can't recall any of the band's names, but it was a local hardcore show in D.C.

That it was a hardcore show or that I can't recall the names?

It sucks I can't remember the names because for the most part they were really good.

The latter. I try to catch any local shows I can.

sideonetrackone 05-02-2012 06:48 AM

Just saw Rammstein last week for the first time in MA for the Made in Germany tour. It was the second best "arena show" I'd ever seen, second only to Nine Inch Nails' Fragile 2.0 tour back in 2001 (that was almost life changing).

If you're a fan of pyro, then Rammstein's the band to see live.

realdealblues 05-14-2012 08:06 PM

Saw Trans-Siberian Orchestra last night. Lots of lights and pyro and image effects all over the stage. I miss seeing actual "shows" like this. Small venue, great sound and great seats = a great time :D

realdealblues 06-14-2012 07:04 AM

Saw Roger Water's "The Wall" a week or so ago. Pretty impressive. That show has got to cost him a fortune to perform, but I really dug it. Definitely one of the most elaborate shows I've ever been too, if not the most elaborate. Roger still sounded good too. I definitely enjoyed myself.

I was in downtown Phoenix the night he performed there, and he had- no kidding- thirteen semi-trucks parked around the place. Probably even more behind the building.

realdealblues 06-15-2012 04:28 AM

Yeah, I saw close to a dozen trucks the other night. It's crazy. Having to rent and haul all the stuff and pay all the people to drive and setup everything...it must cost him a small fortune just to do 1 show.

He's been saying this will be the last Wall tour he's going to do, and I wouldn't doubt that having such a large stage production doesn't have something to do with that.

Power Metal. it's almost like an operatic metal. Think modern day Iron Maiden.

Nat94 11-04-2012 12:12 AM

Going to my first this month :D Deaf Havana

Ice Pik 11-04-2012 03:39 PM

If I like it I like it wither or not it's on the radio. The only thing with underground bands is they really don't do concerts unless in their hometown and areas close by. Like when Orange Sky did a concert in Florida I was shocked because they left Tobago.
