A History of Violence

I've got myself all hyped up about the movie, so I've decided to pass the time I'll spend waiting for the film with the comic. I haven't read the entire book yet, but it seems pretty interesting, with a violent, gritty feel. Has anyone else read it? If you have, what did you think?

Oh shit. I didn't realise its based on a comic. I think i'll leave it alone then.

I watched Sin City and didn't realise that was a comic and i thought i was poo. Not really my type of film at all.

Don't be so quick to write it off... Based on a comic or no, this is Cronenberg we're talking about here. The man is a master of his art. But I do know a lot of people who think exactly the same way, so I suppose I can understand...

Well i think i'll just get a knocked off DVD of it. Then I dont risk wasting six quid as I did with Sin City.

Trust me when I say this... you couldn't tell this was related to any comic in any way. Until I read another post by Noctuary I had no clue it was based on a comic book. It's a great story with some good violence and it's realistic not shot in any funny way (or artistic way, in either case nothing like Sin City)... it's brilliant I loved it.
