Best John Carpenter: Halloween. It's been ripped off countless times. Very important to the genre.

My favorites however, In the Mouth of Madness, They Live, and The Thing.

I completely agree. Halloween is very important movie and fascinating as well.

Mentioned above I will add Prince of Darkness and The Fog.

Carpenter

I'm a big fan of everything Carpenter's involved in. Even his bad movies. :)

My favorites are THE THING, HALLOWEEN, and THE FOG. But I love 'em all. THEY LIVE is a helluva good time . . . .

Loved IN THE MOUTH OF MADNESS, too. I think that one was vastly underrated. In fact, I think I'll go watch it now. It's been a while.

I think Carpenter is very interesting composer. His soundtacks sound cool. I listen to often his soundtracks.

I have to add something about Big Trouble in Little China. It was my favorite when I was little. Since then, I've been waiting for a situation where I could say "Son of a bitch must pay."
