It's called the extended version and it's on DVD. Carpenter signed a contarct with NBC(?)so they could show it on TV in '80. I think Carpenter had to add the scenes because the movie wouldn't fill up the broadcast time since some of the violence was edited out. So while on the set of the sequel, he filmed these extra scenes. The extended version adds these scenes in , though since nothing is edited out, it makes it run longer than the original version.

stayed home today and watched an experimental film called Hotel.
had slight horror elements.

Then i watched Argento's The Stendhal Syndrome

now i have a big headache

That is an awesome movie...now if you just watch Suspiria immediately after you're sure to have cool nightmares.

Deep Red was exellente....if i should say anything negative about it ...it have to be the sound...poor Synchronicity
and it had some plot holes.....
...but i liked it :D
