Titans - Batman VS Robin
 

So I've been watching this...went in without huge expectations.

For those that don't watch, or the TLDR crowd, take a look at this.




It's not bad.
I think the tone of the original trailer was maybe a mistake, as though they're making the show out to be way more "edgy" than it actually is.
It's not one-liner and joke a minute.

The storyline is...well a bit simplistic but not horrible.
As a comic fan I'm a little bit annoyed at some of the changes of characters and I think Starfire looks horrible...beast boy is a bit superfluous it seems...and Raven is kind've boring.
Other than those things, and that it seems more like a mashup of both TITANS and TEEN TITANS...I've found it somewhat watchable.
Dark and a little too angsty...but close enough.

I mean to be honest, aside from some of the netflix GOLD that was daredevil (now cancelled. Thanks Disney. I'm sure everyone will want your service now)
I'd say it's up there with the other DC shows...probably better than supergirl by a mile...and compared to some of Marvels other, smaller 2018 TV offerings, it's amazing.

Anyways, what I'm saying is - have a look if the oppertunity arises.
It seems like it's going down quite an interesting path here too...looking forward to the weirdly numbered season finale. I'm guessing some headfucking might be in play here, but still...should be a ride.

I've never heard of it. That's on netflix? I'd heard of the Teen Titans comics, but never read any.

The Batman Vs Robin looks like a really good story line, but I wouldn't want to watch the Teen Titans 3 other characters fighting crime in a city. In fact when I was watching the youtube clip there of Batman Vs Robin I was into it until I saw the girl hero shooting magic flames from her hands. Not really into that stuff right now. But no 'super powers' might interest me.

What episode does the Titans series start with Robin trying to rein in Batman? I might jump to that spot.

Just the finale (10) I think.
Though some elements of whats going on come into episode 10.

Well...little bit of a let down.
Interesting.
But that "what was happening" was blatantly apparent kind of spoiled it a bit.
It also ended a bit too quick.
Ah well, is what it is, and it was fun while it lasted.
