Last Seen 70s/80s Movie

I watched "Timewalker" last night.......again..

Hate_Breeder 12-04-2004 01:02 PM

Zombie 4.

Pretty campy and cheesey, yet really funny to watch while high.

The_Return 12-04-2004 01:08 PM

My familly went on a day trip to ___________ today, and I brought my portable DVD player. My dad [finally] let me rent Halloween 2, so I warched it on the way up, and finished on the way back [Little more than a hours drive]. Fucking awesome movie, as good as the 1st no question.

TheOmen 12-04-2004 02:36 PM

Watched Evil Dead again.

And Halloween 2 is not even close to the original. Multiple viewings will confirm this.

Halloween 2 is one of the best sequels ever...it's just not anywhere near the original.

The_Return 12-05-2004 02:45 PM

As for Halloween 2, I saw a butchered version of the original, edited for TV then had scenes added to it. It was good, and supposedly mostly the same....but in comparison to that version, the sequel was as good.

MichaelMyers 12-05-2004 06:11 PM

I heard there was some form of an alternate ending with the TV version.

TheOmen 12-05-2004 06:23 PM

There is no alternate ending. Its just 12 extra minutes. The scene where Loomis is talking to the young Michael in his 'cell' is one new scene. The scene where Loomis is begging to the doctors to keep Michael there is another. Jamie Lee Curtis with the towel on her head in her living room I believe is the third and final addition.

These scenes were added for the TV version.

hmmm new to me...

TheOmen 12-06-2004 12:02 PM

It's called the extended version and it's on DVD. Carpenter signed a contarct with NBC(?)so they could show it on TV in '80. I think Carpenter had to add the scenes because the movie wouldn't fill up the broadcast time since some of the violence was edited out. So while on the set of the sequel, he filmed these extra scenes. The extended version adds these scenes in , though since nothing is edited out, it makes it run longer than the original version.

"Santa Sangre" last seen....

urgeok 12-08-2004 04:53 AM

I've been listening to the soundtrack all week so I had to watch the movie again last night - Kill Bill Vol. 1

man i love that movie.

the second time around i was admiring the editing .. especially the scene where the crazy 88's rushed into the room .. how effective that was.

Say what you like Tarantino is an extremely clever filmmaker.

jay o2 waster 12-08-2004 05:27 AM

I watched Re-Animator last night

The_Return 12-08-2004 07:55 AM

White Zombie. It was good, and alot better than I expected, considering I got it on DVD for $1.37 CDN, lol

My dad rented Man on Fire and Walking Tall [Remake] today, we'll watch them tonight probably.
