Masters of Horror

I don't see much on here about it, who's excited!? Romero's out (bummer) but Argent, Gordon, Takishi Mike, John Carpenter! So many great directors doing these one hour films. I know I'll be watching Showtime the 28th at 10PM. What do you people think?

I don't get Showtime, but I did strongly consider ordering it so I could watch this show. Then the cable company told me it would be an extra $20 every month, and I thought better of it. I'll definitely be picking up the DVDs when they get released though.

Yeah I think February is the release date. The only one I'm not interested in is Homecoming from Joe Dante. Anyway, check out the titles and directors. http://www.sho.com/site/mastersofhorror/movies.do

I want to see Stuart Gordon's because it's another H.P. Lovecraft story, I just find that very cool for some reason. If nothing else Gordon will get the best director of Lovercraft's work award.

Yep, Dagon, Re-Animator, and now Dreams in the Witch House. The first was last Sat. and pretty good but Stuart's is next!!

Utterly impressive. To say the least.

I just saw the first episode last night. Phantasm is the only introduction I've had to Don Coscarelli's work. And that was a lifetime ago. Recognized Angus Scrimm in a brilliant, upbeat (!) talky role. Still cannot believe this is -just- for television. It might as well be a movie; sure couldn't tell the difference!

I want more.

I did not like the Don Coscarelli one at all. So corny and such a waste of Angus Scrimm.

I'm still going to watch every episode, you know it!

Why a waste?
He was brilliant.
