relatively new to asian horrors
 

My friends and I have been watching Asian movies for a couple of years now but mostly just martial arts and some action movies. Now a year or so back we were with friends and sad "why not rent A Tale of Two Sisters?" So we did. Turned out to be one of my favorite movies I've seen to date. Now going off of that I have also seen Battle Royale and again turned out to be a movie I love and would like to find more like them. Some of my favorite American movies are Phantasm, Halloween(original) and mainly any ghost movies. Thanks in advance for the help.

another japanese horror film that is definitely worth watching, but wasn't mentioned in any of those other threads is "jigoku (aka "hell")"

it starts off a little slow, but by the end of the movie you're left either wincing or smiling, or (like me) both.

You've got to see the vengeance trilogy...
Sympathy for Mr Vengeance, Oldboy and Lady Vengeance.
These are not your classic horror movies, but they are amazing.
Especially if you like asian film..
All 3 get 11/10 from me...
I gaurantee that you'll love these films!!!

Korean horror
 

The last few weeks there have been some amazing Korean horror movies, and one hell of a Thai horror movie the same people that did "Shutter". The dissapointing thing about the movie although it's now on dvd, but the English
sub-titles are very pis- poor and very difficult to understand, Go to youtube and you can check out the trailer for the Thai horror "Alone". You can also view
another killer Korean horror entitled "There are 2 People" and the latest
one entilted "Cut"/"Anonymous Blood"/"Anatomy Class" talk about chillers
and also on youtube check out the trailer for a South Korean horror which i am really looking forward to is "Black House" let me know what you think, looking
forward to what people think.

Hey Bigcherry do you have any idea if "Alone"" is out on dvd? If it is do you know where I could find it because after watching the trailer I am very interested in this movie, looks fantastic thanks in advance

As i am out here in Australia, the Thai horror "Alone" finally got released out here, but there is or was a problem, which i seem to encounter often, when a new Korean/Thai horror is released first on dvd, the English sub-titles are very poor and hard to understand so i had to return "Alone" the next day, and they
were suggesting it may take awhile before it happens, now i have bought
another copy from America and they said it's perfect. Not sure but there are 2 more which look good also Korean out now on dvd just bought this one, it's an absolute gem and quite nasty let me know "Black House" and one i will buy soon Korean movie "The Cut"/ Cadaver". Go to these sites and you can check them out "Sensasian" ,"Yes Asia" ''Kfccinema" "Twitch", these are excellent resources let me know.
