As a HUGE Halloween fan, I'm excited for the new movie!

I wasn't a fan of whole retconning of the franchise idea, initially, but it does present the oppertunity to tie a nice(r) ribbon around the Michael/Laurie story at the end.

The teaser looks good. I hope this one is a bit more "Michael in the wild" than the last.

I think it was more the nostligia about the return of "The Shape," after the Rob Zombie films that really did it for Halloween fans, in general.

The scenes involving Micheal stalking the streets of Haddonfield on Halloween night were truly good. Especially that scene where we see him walking along the side of the house before going inside and....doing what he does best.

Beyond that, it is quite forgettable.

I hated all of the new characters, bar Dr Sartain. I even think the Sartain thing was rushed. Understanble from someone OBSESSED with understanding something - but development of Sartain's character and obsession could have been drawn out better, maybe even into a sequel.

To me Halloween Kills, as a name, doesn't bode well. Though i seem to be alone in this school of thought, because the only news i've ever seen about it has toted it as hot sh*te.

At First i thought it was the working title, and they would eventually find something less, oh, i don't know, less bloody ObViOuS. Evedently that was not the case.

We're stuck with "Halloween Kills" i guess. I don't have much hope that the film itself won't be as much of a failure of imagination as the title.

Have to agree. The title isn't exactly exciting.

The sequel to it is to be called "Halloween Ends."

I do wonder if the studio would ever consider re-opening the anthology aspect of Halloween, in the future. The Michael Myers story can only go on for so long - considering that the new films are now the new sequels to the original which would make Myers 62/63 right now.
