Not at all, after watching a few of Dan's films including Dynamite Warrior, I thought he would make a perfect character in a Jaa film. His mui-thai is great, he's got boatloads of energy and style, and I was hoping against hope that he would appear with Tony Jaa someday. Happened sooner than I thought.
