It didn't solve a mystery, it only started a few story arcs. No thank you.
This series chose "Nancy Drew"; that comes with responsibilities, like solving a mystery every episode. You can still have on-going story arcs, but you have to solve a mystery ep.
Imagine sitting down to watch a Perry Mason ep and by the end it just sets up how Perry is dealing with an alcohol problem, and his mom has cancer...
Plus, the ep starts with Nancy Drew having sex with a dude, just for fun, she's not involved with him. You know "Nancy Drew" is a long time youth readers book series, mainly for young ladies. That should have been respected. It's not like today's TV series is awash with chase young lady characters... do they have to sexify every non-sexual youth figure that ever existed?
