I've got the complete TV series on DVD (you can get it at
www.asiancult.com), and it's VERY different from the book. There's a whole lotta major plot changes, including one about Ryuji being Sadako's son(!). There's also a lot of stuff about the Ring Virus that comes out The Spiral, and lots of characters that don't appear in Suzuki's book.
