truly strange thing this movie, pretty unwatchable for conventions such as plot and action but nevertheless good for you (like going to the dentist or excercise).. it's a really strange black and white meditation on (i think) the creation myth, i.e. how demi-gods and cults are born.. or something
well, the first scene has a leatherfacey-looking thing sitting in a chair of sorts in some non-descript bleached-white room, with a straight razor, twitchily chopping the arse out of his own abdomen.. for about ten minutes... with no music and sparse effects.. he gives birth to something else and it's a bit like that the whole way through.
pretentious/esoteric wankery? without a doubt. but it should be seen by more horror fans i think, to at least address/re-evaluate the boring norms of movies these days, to at least open doors to what is possible with this fantastic medium we all celebrate
