Horror Nostalgia
Hey All,
I'm new to this forum. I love horror! Ever since I was a little kid, I loved it. The first movie I saw that scared the hell out of me was The Shining. I remember I was 8 or 9 and I watched it with my mom. I couldn’t sleep for a few days. I told my friends about it and they all watched it and we talked about it. That set me on my quest to find all things scary! I would check out library books, one being “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark”. I wore that book out! My love for all things horror remind me of my childhood and Halloween. I love a good scare and my horror taste gravitates more towards the stalker genre, supernatural and physiological. I need a good story, not just blood and gore.
I love the horror movies of the 70’s and 80’s. The 90’s sucked and the ones today are missing something. There have been some good ones, like the Conjuring, and the Koreans and Japanese do some excellent work!
Anyway, what are some of your favorite horror movies? What got you started on a love for horror?
