I read/hear is supposed to take place after, and within, the Infinity Wars film universe. Of course Spiderman dies in Infinity. They aren't likely to change that, because in Infinity Spiderman tells Ironman he's going on a school field trip. Actually scratch that, Avengers Endgame comes out April 26, 2019, so that will all be resolved already.
