These guys...maybe not any more, but they *were* notable, and they're still popping up in the continuity here and there after all this time.
The series is paying it's dues to the comic, way I see it.

In the Holland series Parker's in highschool, which would basically just be different than working for the Daily Bugle, which I associate with post-highschool. I was just saying if Mary Jane was into theatre (in Rami's films, in comics she was model, then went to Hollywood to act), it would be ideal to the story to have her meet Mysterio there, a really nice extra, although I assume Mysterio's debut in #13 has nothing to do with MJ. He's basically ex-Hollywood stuntman but also special effects. Since Parker is in NY, Mysterio could be working effects on 'Broadway', that is stage work. Though you could opt MJ and Mysterio into a film in NY too.
