An "environmental" horror story, not many around*, mess with Mother Nature and you get your butt kicked, big time.
*I can only think of Prophecy.
You seem to have a knack with these short stories. As much as I try, my short stories all seem to be in danger of becoming epics, too much info', resulting in waffling on paper, trying to juggle where I could put the new bits in, ending up becoming too complicated and losing interest.
The dreaded "syndrome" again. :(
