Halloween, first one. The rest I could really care less. Its been a long time since I've seen the 2nd one, so maybe that one would still be good?
Elm Street, just the first one. I didn't like the others.
The 13th...never liked them. I'm not really much of a slasher person anyway. HOWEVER it has been two decades at least since i've seen the original. I suppose I could rewatch the first one.
Unnameable, I and II are both about equal.
Re-animater. Not sure. Maybe the second. Is that the one with the re-animated people needing to stay freezing?
Hellraiser. Hard for me to choose. 1st, 2nd, or 7(Deader). The first has an almost 'realness' too it. Probably because it was a simpler film. The 2nd was a lot of fun. The Doctor cenobite was awesome. Deader was also simpler, but the new locale and from what I remember the acting/story were really well done. To introduce someone to the series I'd show them the first one. For a bunch of people to watch together the 2nd, for watching by yourself or with one other person the 7th.
Poltergeist the first one. Lots of reasons.
Puppetmaster. I wish I could say which one, but I really haven't watched these since I was a kid. A rewatching will be done eventually.
Evil Dead. The first one. Shrug, just liked it more.
The Descent. First one, duh.
Gremlins, the first one.
Critters. I can't remember. Been so long.
I think i'll stop there before I end up posting a very long list.
Oh and Basket Case 1 definitely. An actor in Time's Square walking over a real homeless person, past real hookers and strip club/porn movie houses. Alas, never to be done again.
