Well, it was something like half price on Steam, and this current PC is still amazingly more than powerful enough to run it at pretty much full spec so, I grabbed it.

It's more fun and less "locked in" than the last 2016 version of DOOM was, which I never really liked.
The storyline is a bit more complex than it needs to be, but cool.
The "moves" and upgrades are great.
The combat is fun.
The bosses are a bit cuntish, I had to turn down the difficulty on one particular close quarters encounter, then upped it again right after.
The soundtrack is one of the best.
Visually amazing, everything has depth.
Back to the oldskool doom 2 style overwhelming odds a bit.
I don't know...it just feels like a more complete, well made and competent version of what the last DOOM should have been.

If you liked the last DOOM, you'll like this more.
If you didn't, but liked the first few games, I'd still say this would be more along the lines of what you're looking for.

Kill kill kill.
You want that, it's got that.

Game 7.5/10
Visuals 9/10
