Dead Space 2

Finally it happened.

After the huge fail that was Dead Space Extraction (though a great Wii game), E.A. had to quickly redeem themselves. They announced early this morning that Dead Space 2 is definitely happening. There will be more info on the game in this months Game Informer Magazine, which hits shelves December 14th.

“We’re thrilled to jump back into the series, making the next chapter in Isaac’s journey,” said Steve Papoutsis, Executive Producer of Dead Space 2. “The infection continues to spread throughout space and our hero Isaac Clarke is the only person able to contain it. There are still loads of Necromorphs that need killing. In Dead Space 2, not everything is exactly as it seems. Expect plot twists that will surprise you and a huge cast of twisted, disgusting monsters that are sure to scare the daylights out of you.”

Isaac Clarke will be making a comeback in the sequel. And E.A. says that he will have plenty of new weapons for you to dismember new fucked up space creatures. The game is being made for the Playstation 3, PC, and Xbox 360.

“Like so many gamers worldwide, we love the Dead Space franchise and are very excited to announce a new game in the series,” continued Nick Earl, Senior VP and Group General Manager at EA. “Visceral Games is quickly becoming known for delivering high-quality, action-packed games. Dead Space 2 is on target to deliver a jaw-dropping experience gamers won’t soon forget.”

I was excited to play it when it first came out, but I never picked it up. Then after seeing some screens and videos, I lost interest...

Playing the first one now. Its a good game, not great but still good. I like the idea of the game and will most likely buy this one eventually.

Still haven't completed the first one. I got myself into a rut with the invincible necromorph. Posher gave me some good tips on how to beat him but I'm too busy with other games to go back to Dead Space.

I bought the first one during the Christmas/New Year Steam sales, but haven't gotten around to playing it yet (I bought about 30 games during these sales, and it wasn't at the top of my list to play).

Dead Space is a quality game, genuinely tense moments.

Hope the sequel is as good if not better
