Quote:
THEY JUST SEEM A LITTLE WEIRD-Doug Brod. Very entertainng tome of four mid-late 70's rock bands (KISS, Aerosmith, Cheap Trick and Starz) with their histories and how there was a connection for all of them, such as management, producers, touring, personal relations, etc. Like all four of these bands (a true KISS fanatic in the 70's) and have been able to see three of them twice KISS (Unplugged in '95, very good and in '96 for the Reunion Loud and Bombastic, but musically dull), Aerosmith in '83 (Not bad, missing Perry/Whitford) and '84 (Absolutely horrendous, along with Van Halen in '82, THE worst) and Cheap Trick ('18 and '20, great both times) Starz, sadly, didn't make the big time-a shame as they had the chops and the songs. Heartily recommend the debut ('76) and the following years VIOLATION, both stellar albums, last two aren't great, but not bad either. |

NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD: BEHIND THE SCENES OF THE MOST TERRIFYING ZOMBIE MOVIE EVER-Joe Kane
Kane is also known as "The Phantom of The Movies" and He always is enjoyable. While the focus is on NIGHT, all of Romero's films are covered as well as offshoots like RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD. Also included is the original NOTLD script, with major differences and You can also see John Russo used a lot of references while writing the 1974 novelization. |
