Found - Highly recommended.

For the most part, the traditional horror stuff mostly goes on in the background, until the final act, which is very intense, and the final image will surely haunt you. Just like the kid with the sunglasses at the end of Eden Lake. Two very different films, but both of them pack a final punch that will sting you for a very long time.

Taking a peak at the trailer makes me think of Postman Always rings Twice '46 and Body Heat.

Hello, if you know this already I apologize but you know the 'movie' in this film was made into a full feature. Headless. You should check it out. Both are excellent indie films.

Maybe on the surface. It has a weird underlying plot twist. I didn't care for it.

No apologies necessary. In fact, thank you for the rec. :)

I did already see Headless, though. So it was kind of cute to see it incorporated in the film.

*edit*

I dug up my review, just for shits and giggles.

- the fact that the bowling alley owner is killed off screen

But it also has a few things going for it
- a scary killer (though his mask reminded me of Corey Taylor somehow)
- genuinely creepy vibes
- disturbing imagery
- in a way, it made me long for the traditional last girl-payoff, but it did not give that and - sort of like the original version of Funny Games - that made it better.
