The Black Dahlia

The new film from Brian De Palma looks good.
It's based on the brutal murder of Elizabeth Short. She was found naked.Cut in half at the waist. Her killer also slit her mouth from ear to ear.

I love thrillers, and I think this will be a real good one.

I'm going to watch it 'cause it's gotta decent cast and directer. Have my doubts about it being as good as L.A. Confidential but it does look like it'll be a good one.

I've been interested in the Dahlia case for quite a while now and enjoyed Ellroy's novel. I'd really rather see a film adaptation of Ellroy's "My Dark Places"

It's a memior that illlustrates how Ellroy became fixated on the Dahlia murder and linked it to the also unsolved murder of his own mother. Creepy, wierd and brutally honest - a great book.

I still cant believe no one has done a film about Albert Fish yet. that would make an incredible horror/thriller that would beta the hell out of hannibal lectre.

The Illusionist only a month or so before The Prestige. The Cave, The Descent and one other of the same premise around the same time. One other time this happened in the past year briefly entered my head and left just as quickly.

Seems to be a new trend.
