Peter Lorre: The Master of Menace. What a great actor. I loved him in The Comedy of Terrors with Vincent Price, Boris Karloff, and Basil Rathbone. He was also great in The Man Who Knew Too Much. Oh, and Peter was in The Raven with Vincent, Boris, and a very young Jack Nicholson. All great movies to watch this time of year.

Peter Lorre was incredible. I prefer M to all his other stuff, personally. His facial expressions say every bit as much as Chaney's I think.
As for the last classic I saw, I watched Night of the Living Dead yesterday and the Invisible Man, both with my spellbound three year old brother who then insisted on watching Bride of Frankenstein. I'm thinking of renting the original "The Thing" tomorrow, but I can't remember all that much about it. |

I watched Tales from the Darkside the Movie today and I would count it as an 80s classic and tonight I'm going to see the Howard Hawks The Thing again. Sadly, neither videostore in my town has the Carpenter one. Lousy Pennsylvania suburbs.
