Bernie Wrightson is amazing hands down!, lately been looking at alot of Gary Pullin(Rue-Morgue) & Jeff Zornow(Halloween,Fight-Rags,Bub etc) stuff there both awesome an fan of all the guys from the classic EC comics

Big fan of Johnny Craig, Graham Ingels, and Frank Frazetta. Craig and Ingels for the great early EC stuff and Frazetta for the fantasy illustrations.

There are so many great artists it's hard to pick, but in comics I'm still partial to the ones I grew up with: Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, and Joe Kubert. SF books and magazines came later. All eras had true eye-catchers: Frank R. Paul, Kelly Freas, Jack Gaughan, John Schoenherr, and Don Maitz to name just a few.
