Yeah it was all very controversial when it came out. I was just a very little kid and I can still remember the uproar. The last battle is a very bloody massacre.
Splatter movie ehh? not quite but I can see someone saying that. And yeah it's an American film about American outlaws trying to out run justice and new technology by running to Mexico.

i love it. (my wife hates it)
I don't think I've struck a lot of people that hated it. George Clooney is awesome in it. I was quite suprised at the time because I'd only seen him in ER and a couple of forgetable action flicks. I've enjoyed most things he's been in since.

The Wild Bunch was pretty bloodthirsty for Westerns of the time. Tame by todays standards of course but I bet there would've been a bunch of cats that loved it for the splatter back then!

Blood Feast would've turned a few heads too I imagine :D

NICE! been wantin that for a while.

as for the Wild Bunch, think it was because it was one of the first movies to show killing in slow mo. although i guess bonnie and clyde did that first, i think... wild bunch is fucking kick ass tho, i havent seen it in years.

Yeah, I saw this online. Pretty neat-O, especially at that price. Where did you buy it?

george clooney was the pure essence of cool in that flick ..
he was wicked..

a lot of people i've talked to that hate it - didnt like the twist from crime thriller to horror ..

(which is one of the things i loved about it.)

you want to see another movie that has a radical twist 1/2 way through - try to get your hands on a copy of Miracle Mile.

I love that too, and I, too, have found that most people don't. Most like to sit down and be comfortable with a solid genre flick, whereas this is more a double genre movie, Like Dead Alive (Braindead) or Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. These kind of multi-talented films have more potential for unique quality.

It's sad that more people can't dig that, but to each his own. I think it is a movie to be seen twice, though, whether you enjoyed the first viewing or not.
