outside, house, outside, house, outside, house/cellar, outside...
these jumps between outside and inside didnt feel right...
especially that cellar sequense didnt feel right for the story...it seemed misplaced....and the movie had too many logical holes to be believable....the car is one example...I now its an adventure movie but it is important to keep the story logical or else the structure of the story get destroyed .....

i found no fault with the flow... didnt see any problems with the logic either ..

*********************spoilers*******************

the only problems i had were with the alien machines already being on earth ... it was just done for effect (although it was a pretty impressive sequence)
I also was pissed at the stupid hollywood feelgood ending. The son should have died... and there was no reason for Tom Cruise to be carrying his daughter to the house (pure 'dramatic effect')

other than that ...i thought it was an effective action story blending a new story with some of the origional pieces from H.G. Wells novel.

My ultimate dissapointment was that the movie deviated from the book at all ... but i have to admit it had a nice apocalyptic feel to it and was very effective in parts.

(the tim robbins cellar sequence was a slight twist on the 'crazy soldier' sequence in the origional novel.)
