The Boy
I liked it, even though I did see the spoiler that someone posted here. I wish you all would make your spoiler alert big and bold so these old eyes can actually see it

Spoilers suck! Glad u liked it, but I imagine knowing something crucial about the finale must have been disappointing. Did you think Lauren Cohan handled the lead role well? |

The Hills Have Eyes (2006 remake)
Exactly what I expected: a good easy watcher packed with horror conventions, debatable acting, and gore! |

The Rite (2011)
Rating: 5.5/10 Honestly, not terrible... at least not as bad as people make it out to be. Visually, it was a good looking movie with nice cinematography. The possession scenes were executed nicely and the FVX was solid. Hopkins' performance was above average as well. It was slow moving, but kept me interested. Ultimately, the films downfall is two-part. First, the lead actor (Colin O'Donoghue) is really weak. He has very limited range. For the majority of the movie he defaults to "furled brow" look. He wasn't convincing whatsoever in this role and it took me out of it. Second, the main protagonist was underdeveloped. This was a significant issue because his past plays a large role in the overall plot of the film. To build a table, you must have four legs to stand on. This character didn't. Give it a look if you've got a few hours, but don't bank on it for date night.

Finished Devil (2010) mere minutes ago.
I was impressed. The acting was pretty good across the board. I can't see it truly scaring anybody, but that didn't bother me as I was busy trying to solve the actual devil mystery. As far as the ending goes, the final lift scene knocked the film down a few notches, but I have to admit that I didn't see the twist coming. SPOILERS FROM HERE ON OUT Did anyone else find it frustrating that the devil wasn't there to take them because of their sins, only because they didn't admit to them? And at the last minute, the final guy is like, 'Yeah, I did kill that mother and her child,' and the devil is just like, 'Oh, ok cool. I guess I can't take you to hell then.' I've liked her ever since seeing her on Supernatural. I think she did a superb job!

Another addition already (today has been a somewhat lazy day) - Hostel.
I'm still not sure if its a comedy or a horror film, but at least it's enjoyable either way. |

Dark, 2015. 4/10
You watched some girl freak out for an hour and a half. .. you could tell she had some mental issues. It took place in NY in the Black Out of 2003. We Are Monsters, 2015. 7/10 Only an hour 15 mins long. Rape and revenge film. Nothing new here. It is worth the watch, there is rape, mutilation, gore. Some sick dialog. It's filmed in Sweden but suppose to take place in America with an aussie main girl. The dude is mentally fucked up. Jim is his name..and then there is the sick chick partner, Shirley, a nice surprise is found in her car and then retard sidekick who like the dead bodies afterwards. Heh. No CGI, that I could see and its filmed with filters so some of the scenes look like instagram pictures. Some the things the aussie girl does is kinda unbelievable cause she's a little thing but hey, if your brutalized like her, maybe Adrenalin rush of revenge can take over.
