Re-inforcement has arrived!

Hello there,

As a newbie, n00b, fledgling, neophyte, entrant, freshman, or whatever you might want to call it on this forum, I feel obliged to introduce myself..

My name is William. I'm from Eindhoven, The Netherlands. 26 years young and very, very passionate about Horror, in all it's forms. I tend to lean towards the vintage horror, as I feel that (most) nowadays horror film are often not able to grasp the essence they used to have (80's and earlier). I'm a zombie afficionado, if I say so myself and luckily I'm able to say, that I have been, before the zombie hype started. I'm sure you know what I mean, those hipster kids that haven't even seen a Fulci film, yet they are very awesome zombie expert elitist, or whatever crap.

To name some of my favourite films:

-The Exorcist & Legion: The Exorcist
-Videodrome
-Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari
-The Fly
-The Trilogy of The Dead
-Return Of The Living Dead 1, 2 & 3
-The Masque Of The Red Death
-Tales Of Terror
-The Fly
-The Beyond
-Cemetary Man (Dellamorte Dellamorte)
-Let Sleeping Corpses Lie
-Zombie 2
-The Changeling
-Event Horizon
-Night Of The Creeps
-Re-Animator
-Evil Dead 2
-Nosferatu
-Un Chien Andalou
-Eraserhead
-Krkarlen (The Phantom Carriage)

Of course these are just of the few films I love in this oh, so enjoyable genre. Reading is also something I love. I'm a huge fan of the works of the almighty Edgar Allan Poe (I also love the Price Poe films), Mark Twain, Dante Alighieri & Geoffrey Chaucer, to name a few.

I basically like art in all it's forms. May it be expressed throughout film, music, drawing, I don't care. Music is also a great passion of mine, something I spend many hours in writing, playing, organizing (shows). I'm a huge fan of 60's/70's/Stoner/Doom/Sludge/Powerviolence/Blues/Jazz, but I don't restrict myself to any genres.

-Tom Waits
-Deep Purple
-Burning Witch
-Electric Wizard
-Robert Johnson
-Thelonious Monk
-Toadliquor
-Black Sabbath
-Grand Funk
-Weedeater

This might be way more than you are interested in knowing about me, but I'm kind of the 'I give it my full effort, or none at all' kind of person.

I hope I'll have a good time at this forum:)

Thanks! Are there any enjoyers of Single Malt Scotch here? I'm trying to start a serious collection, as it's also a huge hobby of mine. Then again, I also collect vinyls and film, haha.

Two of our very eminent drinkers can help you - newb and fortunato. You can refer to the Drinking thread in the General Forum for this as well.

Ahhh...vinyls. It seems like an eternity since I heard the word the last time.

I guess I could say I'm an old soul, haha. I only like the first two albums though, the bass-ridden, groovy stuff. By the way, Arrogant Bastard Ale is excellent.
