Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017)

Probably one of the weirdest blockbuster movies I've ever seen, but it's really fun, ambitious and visually stunning, even if the story is pretty thin. I'd love to see more of this universe.

Interesting, this is based on a French comic book series. it's written, directed and produced by French director Luc Besson, who also wrote and directed The Fifth Element, and Lucy.
