Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark Releases This Friday.

Are you going to see it? What are your thoughts on the classic children's horror franchise being brought to the big screen?

Based on this still from the trailer alone, I'm already gleefully anticipating being able to relive my childhood terror.

Holy crap, that picture.

This is what the girl from The Ring would look like after she discovered Wendy's.

Oh, God.

I'm far more afraid of a person who willingly eats Wendy's than I am of some run-of-the-mill ghostie.

The pic reminds me of the classic video game zombie that expands and explodes. That's not good CGI either.

Anyway, I see there's a documentary called Scary Stories that came out this year about the book series. Did you see that?

Bump.

K. Who saw it and what are your thoughts?

I saw it on Monday... I thought it was really fun but a lot of that for me had to do with HUGE nostalgia value from the books... The downside? Why couldn't they just make it a FUCKING ANTHOLOGY.

I didn't care about the wraparound story but it dawned on me that this movie isn't really FOR me... It's for baby horror fans who will latch onto this and love it. Not to mention young female horror fans seeing themselves in the main character.

Just kinda wish that they focused more on the actual stories though.

I haven't seen it yet. But I have it on my list along with the book.
