Horror remake ... John Carpenters "The Thing"

Non Horror ... "Fistfull of dollars" ... great remake of Kurosawa's "Yojimbo"


... The TCM remake was pretty lame stuff IMO

i really didnt mind the TCM that much .. i didnt bother comparing it to the origional .. that wouldnt make sense .. you cant recreate that kind of atmosphere today .. so i just looked at it as another modern horror movie and really liked it for what it was worth..
(until the end - the 'news footage of the cop going into the basement) that was the only time they really tried to emulate the origional... and it was a mistake

The Thing


The only thing that saved the TCM remake for me was R. Lee Ermey playing the sherrif, He cracked me up... Though I think the movie wasn't that great...Nothing can compare to the original or the insanity that was Jim Siedow for that matter.

man shark i didnt watch all of the shinng remake but i did watch the part that ur pic is of, of the dead woman in the tub scared the shit outta me.....id have to say DAWN OF THE DEAD and the thing

i did like the TCM remake and i also didnt think the 1st one was that great to me so thats what my thoughts r on it
