Watched The Thing [2011]....I enjoyed it.....didn't think the CGI was overdone at all. And if you watched the 1982 Thing right after it syncs up perfectly.

Paranormal Activity 3: Stupid, pointless, shit.... I've tried to stick with this franchise, thought the first film was pretty good even though some of it irritated me. I don't know whether the 3rd film is the worst of the bunch or it just frustrated me the most, but either way I wasnt impressed. No tension, no scares, no plot just large spells on monotony interspersed with a loud bang.

havnt seen that yet,but how you explained it was kinda what i was expecting.the first one was kinda unique and interesting and the second was starting to get boring.
i cant beleive they are making a 4th.they always ruin a good(well..ok)movie by doin a thousand sequals or remakes.need to no when to give it up!

The Woman In Black

Dull. I just couldn't get into it.

The Sitter

Average stuff really. Not overly funny. Pretty much a poor man's Adventures In Babysitting but with more dick and fart jokes.

Goon

Liked this one. Entertaining, funny and quite dark in parts.

Moneyball

Not really my thing but the cast worked well together and made it watchable.

Hatchet 2. Very cool stuff. Breaks the common rule that sequel is always worst than original.

The Spiral Staircase

Excellent, I loved it. This movie definitely influenced giallo films, with the black gloves on the killer to the brandy everyone seems to be drinking. I can tell it also influenced many modern slasher movies but the difference is this is a really good film, with great acting, sets and cinematography. Its even got a Barrymore in it so how can you go wrong?

Do you mean the remake?-I haven't seen it. But I really think you would adore the original if you haven't seen it-there's only one "jump" scene but it is so out of the blue you do actually get shook up. It's more a cumulation of many creepy scenes, with a level of dread throughout the movie that is very hypnotic and you are completely mesmerized as the horrors all build up on top of each other much like a gates of hell film does but obviously without any gore or dark humour (though they are deadly serious at the same time as is The Woman In Black)
