Found news article about Evil Dead dated 1981! Amazing

I found this while reading reviews... I guess the movie was really insane when it came out back then.

There was no NC-17 rating back then, it was either R or X

the article is a phony

actually, evil dead avoided ratings alltogether, for fear that it might be rated X, and this would make them lose viewers.
(I watched the Bruce Campbell commentary)

I've never seen so many misspellings in a fake newspaper article which conveniently hides the name of the publication so you can't confirm it.

Laaaaaaaame!

"vommited"..."reeking" havoc.........sheesh.

LMAO!! that article is so phony. Like people seriously need to get a grip. I have noticed that this board is really really biased towards the Evil Dead.

It was a mediocre film, nothing special about it. It's not a "great" movie. It was a low-budget junk IMO. However, considering it's low-budget, it did pretty well...but that's about as far as it goes.
