What classic hits do you love/hate?

**Edit- Sorry mod for wrong forum. I'm tired -.-

Not bands, not songs in general, the hits. Like if you were to turn on your area's classic hit station and listen non stop all day (which is what I do at work and the reason why I ask). Which songs do you love, and which do you hate?

Currently at work I can't wait to hear Peter Frampton's 'Do You Feel Like We Do' because it's fun to whistle and work to. Also love when they play Heart because it sounds great outside.

I've also always liked Bad Moon Rising by CCR, i'm not sure why. I've liked it since I was a little kid. Maybe because it's somewhat of a horror song?

Lola by the Kinks

Finally, Renegade by Styx has been a favorite at work as well.

I however, dread when Boston comes on lately. I can't stand their vocal style, it just drones into you. Further, I can;t stand 'Maggie Mae' anymore. I find it to be obnoxious.

My bar plays only classic rock so certain songs ill dread cause it reminds me of a certain time during shifts. Pink Floyd for example i cant stand at work cause it always slow...bar crowd and song wise. I always love CCR cause its upbeat and also i think The Big Lobowski has alot to do with it. The dude abides!

Yeah, I'm big on CCR, too.

Um, I have to say I get pumped over Supertramp's "Take the Long Way Home".

These classic rock hits always seem to be highly regarded, but I just seem to wince when they come on (I think it's a combination of being overrated and/or overplayed)

Stairway To Heaven - Led Zeppelin
Layla - Derek And The Dominoes
Hotel California - The Eagles
American Pie - Don McLean

I hardly listen to the radio any more. These new-fangled iPods are just so cool; playlists you can change at any time, and no time limits (I remember the days of mix tapes, they'd always cut off a song).

2 more categories:

1960s

21st Century Schizoid Man - King Crimson
Fire - Crazy World Of Arthur Brown
Helter Skelter - The Beatles
I'm A Man - The Yardbirds
Gloria - Them

Glam Rock

Cracked Actor - David Bowie
Rebel Rebel - David Bowie
Jeepster - T. Rex
Ballroom Blitz - Sweet
Fat Bottomed Girls - Queen

My husband and son go to a lot of rock concerts together (I don't tend to go because I couldn't think of a worse fate for a 15 year old boy than to go to a rock concert with his Mom). They're going to see Peter Frampton/Yes at Jones Beach.

I'm not really a Peter Frampton fan, but I would be very disappointed if he didn't break out the talking guitar.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDn2lbIltHM

P.S. I totally agree with you on Boston and Maggie May.
