Looking For Low Budget Slasher Movie Involving Movie Reel

hello, this is my first post. i joined cause i’m trying to remember this movie trailer that i saw back in like 2016-2018 and i CAN NOT remember the name. and i thought this would be a good place to try and shoot my shot. the movie was definitely released from around the time frame i watched it in.

but it was a slasher movie that involved like a movie reel or movie theatre. the movie trailer had like retro vibe to it but not in like a stranger things way, like they were trying to pay homage to other slashers. and the movie title, IIRC, was something like The Splicer or Slicer (Not the actual title, but something with the killers nickname like that). I remember thinking the title was kind of cheesy. but the movie looked like it was actually good, not like a b-movie or anything.
