Making a indie horror short film...

Hello! I'm a fan of classic horror films of the 70's and 80's. I'm also in film school at USC. I'm trying to make my own horror film this summer. I need the help of traditional horror fans!!!

"Sink" will pay homage to the horror films of the 70's and 80's, by using mostly practical special effects and building suspense with psychological horror. There will be plenty of blood as well.

Please check it out. Sorry, I don't mean to spam or take advantage of this forum, just want to see if true horror fans would be interested in this project:

Sick of just watching horror films but never creating??? Take an active role!!!
***If anyone who's in LA and interested in helping out, we are also looking for PA's, soundies, and special effect makeup artists. Please message me.***

Thanks!!!

Then don't. Save your pathetic "Please give me your money" post for your facebook friends and people on kickstarter actively looking for people to give their money to.

Ok, that's cool, you're not interested in this project. So why waste your time to reply and hate on it?
I believe in traditional horror and want to create something that can be enjoyed by fans of this genre. Just wanted to see if anyone was interested. Thanks.

Because I would hate to see every person trying to put a horror film together on kickstarter or indiegogo follow suit and show up here to spam their effort. If we are looking to fund horror movies, we know which websites to go to. This isn't one of them.

I totally understand where you're coming from, it would suck if everyone who wanted to make a youtube video posted about it here (and I had reservations about posting). But to be fair, this is a graduate level USC film and I am trying to find true horror fans that would be interested in helping or crewing for this, and this is a site for horror fans, hence why I posted here.

I like the idea of it being psychologically based. Unfortunately, I'm not much of a traditional horror fan. :o But still, it looks interesting and you and your crew seem passionate about it.

Good luck with your project, I hope you manage to complete it. :)

We have met our goal! And the talented Tommy Pietch, (from SyFy channel's Face Off, Season 3, airing in August) has joined our crew as special effects makeup artist!!! We are so happy to have him!!! This is going to be great!!!
