Song Soundalikes

Alright, I'm looking for a list of songs that sound like other songs. Not sure what I mean? Here's a couple of examples...

Are You Gonna be My Girl by Jet sounds an awful like Lust for Life by Iggy Pop.

The beginning of What I Got by Sublime sounds a lot like Lady Madonna by The Beatles.

The music in Funk #49 - James Gang sounds just like footloose.

For some reason I've always thought that Higher Ground - Stevie Wonder sounded like Green Onions - Booker T & the MGs.

Yep, check out Footloose and Funk #49. I'm sure I'm not the only one that hears it.

And for Return, it's ok for them to sound like themselves. :p

Blech...it bugs me that they're making millions off of 3-4 different variations on pretty much the same damn song.

I understand how you feel, they aren't breaking any new ground that's for sure. They're just making modern rock and they have a few decent tunes within their library of largely boring, generic stuff.

Not really samples because those are pretty common. Kid Rock uses Werewolve's of London, Eminem has used Dream On, the list would be too big to post. If ANYBODY knows which rap song samples the background beat from The Temptations' "Ball of Confusion" though I REALLY want to know.

American Idiot by Green Day and Rise & Fall by Offspring

Also Boulevard of Broken Dreams by Green Day and Wonderwall by Oasis - I believe Blvd uses the same riff or whatever the musical word is, that Wonderwall used (which is why the remix of the two songs together sounds so good).
