That's a shame. The trailer made it seem like it was going to be awesome. I can't believe these Mortal Kombat games are still around. I remember the first game and it was always weaker compared to Street Fighter. The game just had the fatality angle. Mortal Kombat 2 was better but still Street Fighter was leagues ahead. I think Part 2 was the last game I really played. I did see the original movie in theaters. It was ok. Good enough I guess for me to get the soundtrack.
Mortal Kombat had the brutality and speed and, yes, Street Fighter had the better gameplay. I’m sure gamers still buy the new Mortal Kombat games for their brutality, which nowadays is pretty damn brutal and creative.

SAVAGELAND 2015

The inhabitants of a small town in Arizona are slaughtered and an illegal Mexican immigrant is held responsible. The pictures he took during his supposed "rampage" tell a different story altogether.

I liked it.

MY BLOODY VALENTINE (2009). I wasn't expecting much, but MBV was better than I thought it would be; better than the original anyway. Did notice there was a kill right out of the original and one that had to have been inspired by ZOMBIE. **1/2

Southland Tales 6-7/10

Written and directed by writer/director of Donnie Darko and it shows. The story is so over-the-top weird and crazy it's almost David Lynch at times. A little too weird and crazy for my taste, but it did have a good portion of humor added and I liked the performance of Dwayne Johnson. He was funny as the eccentric main character.
