The "MULTI" quote feature and the 30-minute limit for editing posts

Among all the new features enabled for the Horror.com forum boards since last year, one very useful feature added was the multi-quote feature.

#2 in the list: http://horror.com/forum/showpost.php...38&postcount=1

The "MULTI" button in the posts in a thread replaced the "QUICK REPLY" button which was there previously, on the far right.

The purpose of the "MULTI" button, or the multi-quote feature, is to facilitate members to reply to more than one post in a single thread, instead of making back-to-back posts replying to one, then another, then a third...etc.

Just SELECT the individual posts which you want to reply by clicking on the "MULTI" button in each post...

And reply to them ALL, together in a SINGLE post.

The resultant post will look like this in the thread:

Also, individual posts now have a time-limit of being edited within 30 minutes. In case you forgot to add something to your original post, or came upon/thought of more data/content to add to your first post, hit the "EDIT" button and add your stuff to your first post, instead of making another one within 5, 10 or even 15 minutes of each other.

Making back-to-back posts in a single thread within 30 minutes of each other is considered spamming, plus it loads up the servers unnecessarily. If someone else has replied to your original post within those 30 minutes, and you post again as a reply to that, it's perfectly fine. But if you make a post, and AGAIN post in that thread before your 30 minutes of editing time is up and no one else has posted in-between, it will be unnecessary.

Please use these features and keep the boards stress-free.

Thank you, and happy foruming!
