Still more NETFLIX Tarzan films with Johnny Weissmuller getting to the end of his series and really running out of gas, especially the last one. Best part for us is all the cool Horror thespians (mostly from Universal) in them like Brenda Joyce as Jane (Inner Sanctums), Barton McLain (THE MUMMY'S GHOST), Charles Trowbridge (THE MUMMY'S HAND), Maria Ouspenskaya (THE WOLFMAN, FRANKENSTEIN MEETS THE WOLFMAN), Acquanetta (CAPTIVE WILD WOMAN, DEAD MAN'S EYES), George Zucco (THE MUMMY'S HAND, THE MAD GHOUL) and the lovely Patricia Morison (DEAD MAN'S EYES, HITLER'S MADMAN, and DRESSED TO KILL).

TARZAN AND THE AMAZONS (1945) **1/2
TARZAN AND THE LEOPARD WOMAN (1946) **1/2
TARZAN AND THE HUNTRESS (1947) ***
TARZAN AND THE MERMAID (1948) *1/2

On the films you listed that are not Tarzan, I have them all and really enjoy watching all. Great films. They don't make 'em like that anymore.

KING KONG (1933). Still wanting to go to the jungle, even after all the TARZAN films. Saw this in the theater when I was eight on a 1970 re-issue....was really in to dinosaurs and just loved this from beginning to end. Surprised they did not eject me from the theater during the Kong/T-Rex square off!
Moved a lot as a kid and started watching sports while living above Chicago IL (really no interest) to try to fit in at school. During the Jan 1977 Super Bowl (Know Oakland Raiders won), a station out of Milwaukee WI was showing KING KONG the same time. You can probably deduce what I watched that day.

Still love this and can only shake my head at fools who try to find all sorts of racial/social/sexual messages in the film. You only need to know it's a great entertaining movie...PERIOD! *****

ABBOTT AND COSTELLO MEET THE MUMMY (1955). Some good chuckles and cast in here, but a lot of gags are recycled and it's clear the team was running on empty. Worth seeing- Not as great as A&C MEET FRANKENSTEIN,but better than A&C MEET DR JEKYLL AND MR HYDE. **1/2

I thought that was a pretty good Abbott and Costello.

Awesome! Would love to see Kong on big 70m or bigger screen! It's such an amazing film. There is so much 'accidental' symbolism in he film. I heard a lecture called, "King Kong Died for You're Sins".
