I think after Ford finishes the fifth film it might be best to retire the series after that, Ford is just too iconic in the role to me.

Raiders of the Lost Ark is my favorite movie of all time. I have a framed poster on my wall and dress up as Indiana Jones ever year on Halloween. Seriously. Every year. I'm well into my twenties...I should probably re-evaluate some things.

I love this series and watch over and over again.

Raiders is my favorite with Temple Of Doom following.

My fourth would be Crusade with the Crystal Skulls following last.

But I thoroughly enjoyed all 4 of the films.

Animated Indy Movie Coming

It may be animated but looks like we're getting a new Indy movie. Always surprised an animated movie wasn't done sooner or even an animated series. Should be interesting to see where it'll rate among the films.

An animated movie might be pretty cool. Nothing like a Lucas/Kaufman written, Kasdan screenplay and Spielberg directed Indie film... But all things come to an end.

Yea, Raiders is really on it's own plateau. Doom, Crusade & Skull are fun, but they really don't have the magic.

I used to consider Crusade my second fav, but after seeing it a second time, Doom is probably better, but again, they're really out of Raider's league (IMHO).

I notice most Horror fans tend to like Temple Of Doom and are softer towards it than much of the more casual general public. I guess Horror fans tend to gravitate to the darker tone and Horror-like vibe of it whereas those aspects might be off-putting to a non-fan.

I don't think Doom even explains that at the beginning... but I think some people are like, "whoah, what happened to the brunette?"

I think horror fans were bit more cool with Doom. It was rather unique, taking aim at the darkside of hinduism.

One odd thing about Doom was it was actually a prequel, occurring before the events of Raiders... that's a weird thing for an audience to get.

I think it was a prequel because George Lucas wanted different enemies other than Nazis.
