ATTN: Vampire Freaks

I desperately need new reading material. I recently finished the last book of the Anita Blake: Vampire hunter series and I need some suggestions for new vampire books. If you suggest Anne Rice I will smack you...I have read the chronicles way too much! I need something new and different...Help!

"The Traveling Vampire Show" by Richard Laymon and the Sonja Blue series by Nancy A. Collins. The first one is a quick read and the 4 books in the Sonja Blue series are absolutely amazing!

How about Sheridan Le Fanu's Carmilla? Can't go wrong with that. David J Skal edited a really big vamp anthology that somehow manages not to suck. Also, pick up a used copy of Light At The End by bad boys Skipp and Spector.

Vampire

Try Amelia Atwater Rhodes, she is fairly good, She wrote:
1.In the Forest of the Night
2.Demon in my View
3.Shattered Mirror
4.Midnight Predoter
5.Hawks Song
I like them all, this auther wrote her first book when she was 13 (IN the Forest of the Night), All of her books are related to one another in some way but they are not sequeals to eachother. I have to agree with you the Anita Blake series are great. I just finished all of them.

"Please dont kill me. I dont wont to die. I wont to live. I wont to have my baby, I wont to have my baby." susan said she looked Sharon straight in the eye and said "look, bitch, I dont care about you. I dont care if you are going to have a baby. You better be ready, You're going to die and I dont feel anything about it."
Then susan said "In a few minutes I killed her and she was dead"
After killing sharon susan noticed there was blood on her hand she tasted it. "wow what a trip" she told Virginia. "I thought to taste death, and yet give life."
